Dr Goran Dominioni is an Assistant Professor at the DCU School of Law and Government. He has worked and conducted research on carbon pricing and shipping decarbonization for a decade and holds an LLM from Yale Law School and a PhD in law and economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
He is the lead author of the World Bank reports Carbon Revenues from International Shipping: Enabling an Effective and Equitable Transition, and Distributing Carbon Revenues from Shipping, and has published in various peer-reviewed journals, including Climate Policy, Marine Policy, and the Journal of Environmental Law. His research has been awarded prizes from the MIT Climate CoLab, Yale Law School, and the World Bank.
He has been delivering training on carbon pricing in international shipping for members of delegations to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) since 2022.

Cáit Gleeson is a research assistant at the DCU School of Law and Government. She holds an MSc in Climate Change: Policy, Media and Society from DCU and a Postgraduate Diploma in Biodiversity and Land-Use Planning from the University of Galway. She has previously worked with various Irish environmental NGOs.
Maisie McDavid is a PhD Researcher at the DCU School of Law and Government. She holds an LLM in Global Environment and Climate Change Law from the University of Edinburgh. Her PhD research is focused on land-use policy and governance for climate, biodiversity, and water.
